Da protagonista di Gossip Girl a Stella della Musica, il passo è stato molto breve per Leighton Meester. La ragazza aveva già ottenuto un ottimo successo quest’estate insieme a Cobra starship nel brano Good Girls Gone Bad, ma adesso è pronta a lanciarsi da sola nel mondo della musica e lo fa con il singolo “Sombody To Love” ! Un brano che ti conquista fin dalle prime note, accattivante e molto orecchiaibile, merito anche della partecipazione di Robin Thicke. Ascoltando il pezzo un piccolo dubbio mi viene, ma la ragazza sa cantare? Visto che la sentiamo praticamente parlare per tutto il corso della canzone…

Robin Thicke – Magic ( video + testo+ traduzione)

Dopo il successo dell’album The Evolution of Robin Thicke, che l’ha consacrato come uno dei mgliori artisti r&b americani! Il trentenne Robin Thicke sta lavorando a un nuovo disco dal titolo “Something else”, di cui ci da un assaggio con il primo singolo “Magic”. Si Tratta di una uptempo con sonorità jazz e r&b, che rendono il brano molto ben strutturato e piacevole all’ascolto il tutto accompagnato dalla voce di Robin che fa un gran uso del falsetto specialmente nelle prime strofe. La canzone è rivolta a qualcuno che nel passato ha spezzato il cuore a Thicke, il video invece vede alla regia “Robert Hales” ( lo stesso di Break The ice, di Britney Spears), la clip è ambientata nello spazio e in alcune scene, sembra che ci sia il tentativo di emulazione del video di Ne-yo “Closer”, allo stesso tempo devo dire che il alcune seguenze mi ricorda molto George Michael….vi lascio alla visione…
