Una nuova band fa la sua comparsa sulla scena musicale dell’alternative rock,si tratta dei Sixx:Am. Gruppo formatosi nei primi mesi del 2006 grazie al bassista Nikki Sixx già leader e fondatore di altri gruppi heavy metal.

Il loro primo album uscito nell’agosto 2007 si chiama “The Heroin Daries” e fa anche da colonna sonora per il film “The Heroin Daries: A Year in The Life Of a Shatterd Rock Star”,il disco è stato anche acclamato dalla critica con 4 stelle su 5. Il primo singolo ad essere estratto è Life Is Beautiful, che è stato subito accolto molto bene dal pubblico americano raggiungendo la posizione numero 2 della Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks.
