Call the Shots è la diciassettesima canzone che la girl band pubblica come singolo ufficiale e il secondo ad essere estratto dall’album “Tagled up“. Le Girls Alound possiamo definirle come le spice girls degli anni 2000 con l’unica differenza che tutte sanno cantare abbastanza bene , in quanto il gruppo ai suoi tempi si formò grazie a una trasmissione televisiva. Da allora i successi sono stati inarrestabili e in Uk ormai sono considerate delle propio dive.

Il loro ultimo singolo come detto prima si chiama Call the Shots e si tratta di una mid-tempo dal sapore di pop/dance tipico delle Girls Aloud, la canzone è stata paragonata anche a Never gonna dance again delle sugababes in quanto il ritmo è simile avendo entrambe le due canzoni come produttore Xenomia.Il video è stato girato a Malibu e vede le 5 ragazze vestite tutte di viola ballare e cantare in mezzo alle fiamme in una notte estiva sulla riva di una spiaggia…le mie considerazioni finali sono che il gruppo dovrebbe uscire un pò fouri dalla loro terra e provare a lanciarsi a livello internazionale….le canzoni sono ben fatte e loro hanno tutte le carte in regola per sfondare…
